FSS #2: JooYoung Choi's World Building @ the CAMH

Sup Art Fam,

On September 2nd, the always free and ever interesting Contemporary Art Museum Houston is hosting an open studio for its current downstairs exhibition of JooYoung Choi's "A Better Yesterday". Artists (as well as family members and friends) are invited to "create an alter-ego for yourself living in an imaginary environment as a response to JooYoung Choi's installation "Somnioplexic Resonance."

The activity is from 2-4pm and is open to all members of the community. The Facebook event, and more information, can be found here.

Ms. E will have transportation from Brays Oaks to the event at 10am until 4:30 pm for interested high school students who return a bid trip slip and parental permission by the end of the day September 1st. Space is limited, and the trip is first-come, first-serve up to 7 individuals. Students who opt into the trip will also be visiting the Lawndale Art Center, Menil Museum, the Station Museum to view Andres Serrano's a/political "Torture" exhibition, and finally Hermann Park for lunch, an activity, and discussion. Students are expected to bring money for lunch and their sketchbook/capture tools, but all exhibit and tour costs will be subsidized.

See ya at the Museum!

Ms. E
